A Pre Conference Tour to Tucson AZ

Plan to arrive in Phoenix on Sunday October 27th 2002. We will leave the Mesa conference hotel early on Monday October 28th and return to Mesa in time for the annual meeting by 5pm on Wednesday October 30th 2002.

The oldest arboretum in the State of Arizona, situated in a rocky canyon east of Phoenix.

Salinity studies, new retractible shade houses, hydroponic vegetable production, aeroponics, and the Desert Legume Program

Bach’s Cactus and Succulent Nursery
A large production facility, specializing in hybridizing, grafting, and shipping world wide. Host - Dan Bach

Arizona Sonora Desert Museum
A world class outdoor museum with zoological, mineral, and botanical exhibits. The premier desert experience.

Civano Nursery
A unique retail/wholesale production facility situated on the site of a cutting-edge environmentally responsible community.

University of Arizona Campus Arboretum
The oldest continually-maintained green space in Arizona. Home to several hundred tree species, many of which were planted as trials in the early days of desert landscaping.
