DO YOU HAVE USEFUL INFORMATION OR IDEAS YOU WANT TO SHARE WITH OTHER IPPS MEMBERS? IF SO, YOU ARE INVITED TO SUBMIT A POSTER AT THE 2002 ANNUAL MEETING! IT’S FUN AND EASY!

WHY PREPARE A POSTER?

Posters allow you to share your knowledge with others at the annual meeting, providing fellow propagators with the opportunity to learn something new. Remember that the motto of IPPS is "To Seek and To Share"

WHO CAN SUBMIT A POSTER?

All IPPS members, students, and researchers are invited to submit a poster. A listing of poster titles and authors will be included in the program materials. (Space for poster is limited, so be sure to submit your poster information early! Please see the reverse side of this form.)

WHEN DO I SET UP MY POSTER?

Posters may be set up on Wednesday, October 30, 2002 between 1:00PM and 5:00PM in the poster display area. The poster session will be available for viewing during the annual meeting. Authors are encouraged to be present at the Thursday (October 31) evening workshop to answer questions about their posters. Posters must be taken down by 11:00AM on Saturday, November 2, 2002.

WHAT KINDS OF TOPICS MAY BE PRESENTED IN MY POSTER?

Poster topics must be non-commercial and relate to some aspect of plant propagation such as propagation research, propagation techniques, nursery production, pest control, use of growth regulators, automation, shipping and storing products, educational programs, etc.

SHOULD THE POSTER FORMAT BE FORMAL OR INFORMAL?

Both formal research posters and informal propagation and production posters are welcome. Be creative! We are looking for variety and useful information presented in a clear and understandable manner. Use photographs or simple tables and figures. Keep verbiage to a minimum to allow for easy reading.

HOW SHOULD THE POSTER BE PREPARED?

The poster may be any size up to 4’X8’ and should be large enough to be seen from at least four feet away. The poster may contain charts, photos, drawings, text, etc. Lettering should be LARGE and BOLD. A poster backing will be provided. You must supply pins. Your photo attached to the display would be very helpful for persons who would like to speak to you for more information.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN THE POSTER SESSION?

Just print and then fill out this MS Word form. The abstract or summary of the poster presentation will be published in the Annual Proceedings. Please respond by July 1, 2002.
