Paper presentations

The following students received scholarship awards for papers which they presented at the 32nd annual meeting in Chattanooga, Tenn., in 2007. Both received travel stipends of $500.

Five students received $500 for poster display presentations:

Vivian Munday Awards

Five undergraduate students each received a $1,250 stipend and $250 for travel:

Thomas N. Saunders Jr. of Virginia Tech University

The Sidney B. Meadows Award of Merit (the highest honor awarded to a member of the Southern Region of North America for outstanding contributions to the International Plant Propagators' Society and to plant propagation) was awarded to Thomas "Buddy" Martin.

How Fellows are nominated

Fellows are outstanding individuals honored for their contribution to the nursery industry and to plant propagation in the Southern Region. They serve as a forum for fellowship and potential information exchange. They are long-term IPPS members who may no longer directly participate on the Southern Region IPPS Board.
